Convert TIF and TIFF Files
Both .tif and .tiff filename extensions are accepted. A valid TIFF byte signature is required before the browser decoder runs.

What the Browser Tool Keeps and Changes
Lossless PNG Can Be Large
PNG does not add lossy compression artifacts, but a photographic TIFF can produce a large download. TIFF to JPG is often smaller when transparency and exact decoded pixels do not matter.
Decoded Transparency Is Preserved
Transparent pixels in the decoded first page stay transparent in the PNG. The browser tool does not invent transparency when the source page is opaque.
TIFF-Specific Data Is Not Copied
The PNG contains decoded pixels from the first page. TIFF tags, embedded profiles, layers, extra pages, and document metadata are not transferred.
Unsafe TIFF Layouts Are Rejected
The browser workflow accepts supported interleaved TIFFs up to 8 megapixels and 8192 pixels per edge. Planar, unusual extra-channel, and memory-heavy files are rejected instead of risking a corrupted download or browser crash.
