How to resize an image for a Google Slides standard background?

Step 1: Upload the source image
Choose a clear JPG, PNG, WebP, or HEIC image. Start with a source at least as large as the target canvas when possible.

Step 2: Apply the 4:3 preset
Select 1024×768, then use the crop preview to keep text, faces, and logos away from the edges.

Choose File > Page setup > Standard (4:3). Set the resized file as the background and verify that the full composition remains visible.
