Find the Text, Then Fill the Gap
Most erasers make you paint over every letter by hand. The Text Remover locates the words for you and leaves the rest of the photo alone.
AI Background Fill
The detected areas are sent to the same AI inpainting model as our Object Remover, which rebuilds the textures, gradients, and edges that were behind the letters.
Brush Over What It Misses
Stylized fonts, handwriting, and tiny print can slip past OCR. Paint over whatever is left and erase it in a second pass, or use Undo to step back.
What Text Can It Remove?
Captions, Dates, and Overlays
Clean, high-contrast text such as captions, date stamps, subtitles, and graphic overlays is detected best, especially over fairly plain backgrounds. Small, coloured, or stylised text is the most likely to be missed on the first pass.
Text Inside the Scene
Signs, labels, and packaging can be erased too. Busy backgrounds are harder to rebuild, so check the edges of the result before you use it.
Only Images You Have Rights To
Use the tool on your own photos and graphics or images you are licensed to edit. Removing a watermark from someone else's work does not give you the right to use it.
Tips for a Cleaner Result
Start From the Largest File
Upload the sharpest version you have. Small, blurry text is harder to detect and leaves more to guess at when the background is rebuilt.
Erase in Passes
If a big headline sits over a detailed area, remove it in two or three passes instead of one. Each result becomes the starting point for the next.
Compare Before and After
Use the Before and After toggle to check textures and straight lines near the removed text. Inpainting generates new pixels, so keep your original file.
How to remove text from a photo?

Step 1: Upload Your Photo
Drop in a JPG, PNG, or WebP image. The tool scans it for text automatically.

The words it found are erased and the background is filled in. Toggle Before and After, and use Scan again or the brush for any text that is left.
