Can I blur only a face or part of the image?
Not in this tool, which blurs the entire image evenly. To hide only faces, license plates or text, use the Blur Face tool at instasize.com/tools/blur-face: it finds faces automatically and also lets you draw a box or brush.
Does blurring permanently remove hidden information?
Blur is a visual effect, not a guaranteed redaction method. For confidential text or data, remove the sensitive area completely and verify the exported file before sharing.
What does the blur strength mean?
It is the approximate blur radius in output pixels. Larger values spread colors across a wider area and produce a softer result.
Does Instasize upload my image to process this effect?
No. This editor decodes, renders, and encodes the image in your current browser tab. The file only leaves your device if you choose a separate upload or sharing action afterward.
What file will I download?
The current browser editor exports a PNG. PNG keeps the result predictable across supported browsers and preserves transparent corners when the effect creates them.
