The browser decodes the source, reverses the frame plan, and creates the download on your device. The file is not sent to a remote image-processing service.
Compare the new file size
Reversing requires a re-encode, so the result can have a different byte count even though dimensions and frame count are unchanged. Keep the source when its encoding is more efficient.
