Set the left and top offset, then the width and height of the rectangle to keep. The same crop is applied to each composited frame so the subject does not jump because different frames used different boundaries.

File size may change in either direction
Removing pixels often reduces size, but re-encoding can still produce a result larger than an already optimized source. Compare the measured sizes and use the GIF compressor when the byte count matters.
