Instagram places the newest post at the top-left of the profile grid, so the ZIP starts with the bottom-right tile and ends with the top-left tile.
How to make a 3×3 Instagram grid from one photo?

Step 1: Upload the full grid image
Choose a sharp JPG, PNG, or WebP source with enough detail to remain clear after it is divided.

Step 2: Choose the grid and post shape
Select 3, 6, 9, or 12 posts and choose 3:4 portrait, 4:5 portrait, or square tiles.

Step 3: Review the center crop
Check the grid overlay because the source is center-cropped to the combined shape of all tiles.

The tool exports each tile 1080 pixels wide. The default 3:4 option is 1080×1440, while 4:5 is 1080×1350 and square is 1080×1080.
What order do I post an Instagram puzzle grid?
Start with the bottom-right tile, move right-to-left across the bottom row, and continue upward. The downloaded files are numbered in that posting order.
Does the grid maker crop my photo?
Yes. It uses a centered crop so the complete source matches the combined aspect ratio of the chosen rows, three columns, and tile shape. Review the overlay before creating the files.
Can I make a 3×3 Instagram grid?
Yes. Select the 3×3 option to create nine tiles. You can also make one, two, or four rows of three posts.
Can I download the whole grid at once?
Yes. Download all tiles in one ZIP, or save individual tiles from the result grid.
Does this tool publish the posts to Instagram?
No. It creates and numbers the image files locally. You still review and publish each post through your own Instagram account.
